Frustrated Iwobi charges Fulham to respond at Tottenham on Sunday after Wolves defeat

Alex Iwobi may have scored his sixth goal in 11 games against Wolves at the weekend at the Craven Cottage to extend his goalscoring record against the Midlands club, but the Nigerian has expressed his frustration with the Cottagers loss of momentum after going ahead via his 20th minute strike.

Fulham started like a house on fire and went in front via Iwobi’s sumptuous strike but the visitors, who had lost in their last visit with the Nigerian scoring, started their comeback by scoring the equalizer to end the first half 1-1.

The Whites collapsed in the second half, allowing Wolves to score thrice in the second half and Iwobi explained why he thought they could not build on the goal they scored in the first half.

‘I’m not too sure. I feel like second half we didn’t have the same intensity as the first. That’s how goals quickly change games and gave them the confidence to kick on. Even though they scored, we need to keep the same composure and remain calm, no matter what.

‘We struggled to dominate like we did, so credit to them, but we’re going to look at ourselves to improve.

‘We have to play the game for 90 minutes. We weren’t able to keep the same form that we had in the first half, so we have to analyse and go again.

‘We can’t dwell on this. We have to keep on going and push on. Obviously, games come thick and fast, so we can put it right in the next game,’ said the Nigerian who has now scored thrice this season.
