Fulham Raise Offer to €30m for Nigeria Defender Nwaiwu

Fulham have reportedly increased their offer for Nigerian centre-back Nwaiwu to €30 million as the Premier League club push to complete the transfer of the highly rated defender.

The deal could rise even further with bonuses, while reports indicate that Nwaiwu is now highly likely to leave Trabzonspor.

The Premier League side are keen to conclude the transfer of the 22-year-old as quickly as possible, with discussions involving the player’s representatives reportedly progressing.

Trabzonspor are understood to have reached an agreement with Nwaiwu’s agent, while the clubs are now expected to finalise the remaining details of the transfer.

The Turkish club signed the defender from Wolfsberger for €5.5 million during the January transfer window.

Nwaiwu has since enjoyed a remarkable rise, establishing himself as a key player and earning regular call-ups to the Nigeria national team.
