Sand Eagles Face Ghana in Kaduna on Saturdary

Ghana’s Black Sharks will arrive in Nigeria on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations final-round qualifying first-leg clash against the Sand Eagles.

The Ghanaian delegation will proceed immediately to Kaduna, where they will face Nigeria at the Murtala Muhammed Square Beach Pitch.

The crucial encounter is scheduled to kick off at 4pm, with both sides bidding to secure an advantage ahead of the return leg in the race for a place at the 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON finals in Senegal.

The Confederation of African Football has appointed Moroccan official Dris Lamghaidar as referee for the encounter.

Lamghaidar will be assisted by compatriots Azz-Eddine Essalhi and Nabil Elmaliki as second and third referees respectively.

The reserve assistant referee is Omar Kebbeh of The Gambia, while Lesotho’s Khiba Herbert Mohoanyane will serve as match commissioner.
