Gifuni: ‘Osimhen can end up like Balotelli’

Napoli journalist, Gianluca Gifuni has warned Victor Osimhen he must be careful not to waste his talent like Mario Balotelli did.

Gifuni, a speaker on Radio Marte told ‘Forza Napoli Sempre’ Osimhen, who moved on loan to Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray ‘risks making the mistake Balotelli made because of his character despite his great potential,’ he said and compared the Nigerian to Romelu Lukaku.

‘Romelu Lukaku, on a human and cultural level, is definitely superior to Osimhen,’ he said.

Continuing, he said Osimhen was just an ordinary player developed by Lucianno Spaletti, his coach then at Napoli.

‘Osimhen had no technique, Spalletti wasted an hour after each training session to teach how to move and position himself as a striker. It was clear that he needed development, growth in the technical aspect,’ added Gifuni.
