Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo to return to Arsenal for surgery

League Two side, Wrexham says on loan Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo will ‘temporarily return to Arsenal for surgery on the jaw injury he sustained during
our 2-2 draw with Harrogate Town.’

Okonkwo was substituted at half-time during that game, as a result of the injury.

According to the League two club’s official website, ‘the 22-year-old will return to Wrexham once the surgery has been successfully completed and he has been
assessed by the Arsenal medical team in close collaboration with Wrexham AFC, and may play in a protective mask as he recovers from the jaw injury.’

Okonkwo has made 13 Wrexham appearances since signing on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day. He has kept six clean sheets and conceeded 11 goals.

Wrexham is a professional association football club based in Wrexham, Wales. According to Wikipedia, the club was formed in 1864 and it is the oldest club in Wales and the third-oldest professional association football team in the world.
