Gymnastics Federation Appoints Kuti Dare as Media Director

The Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria (GFN) has appointed Kuti Oluwadamilare Ismail as its Media Director.

In a letter dated September 27, 2026, the federation said its executive board unanimously approved the appointment at a meeting held on the same day.

The GFN cited Kuti’s record, dedication and contribution to the growth of sports as reasons for his appointment.

The letter, signed by GFN President Prince Kelvin Erhunwunse, congratulated Kuti and expressed confidence that the appointment would further encourage him in the discharge of his duties.

Kuti, who was also announced as a board member of the federation in charge of media, pledged to give his best in the new role.

‘I promise to discharge my duties and promote gymnastics, just as I have always promoted other sports in Nigeria,’ Kuti said.

He described the appointment as an opportunity to bring greater attention to gymnastics and the people working to develop the sport across the country.

Kuti said he would use his media role to promote gymnasts, coaches and competitions and help give the sport greater visibility.

‘I am grateful for the confidence placed in me. I look forward to working with the board to tell the stories of our athletes and help more Nigerians connect with gymnastics,’ he added.
