‘I still think I can attack the world record,’ says Holloway after winning 110m hurdles in Silesia

World and Olympic 110m hurdles champion, Grant Holloway believes he can attack the 12.80 world record in the event after returning to winning ways at the 15th Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Silesia, Poland on Sunday.

The American ran 13.14 in Lausanne last week to finish behind Rasheed Broadbell (13.10) but bounced back in Silesia and believes he is in shape to break the world record.

‘The pressure is off my shoulders now that I am the Olympic champion, so I just want to go out there and have fun. I had a way better race here than I did in Lausanne, I got some feedback after that race and knew what I had to work on.

‘It has been a long season, but I still think I can attack the world record. The track here is unbelievable. It is one of my favourite stadiums and I want to keep coming back here,’ said the American post-race.
