‘I Want to Surpass Osimhen’: Lukaku Sets Turkish Super Lig Target

Romelu Lukaku has reportedly set his sights on surpassing Victor Osimhen in the goalscoring battle after joining Fenerbahce, setting the stage for a new individual rivalry between two of the Turkish Super Lig’s biggest attacking stars.
The rivalry between Lukaku and Osimhen is expected to add another dimension to the fierce competition between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, with both clubs relying on prolific strikers to lead their attacks.
Speaking on the Asist Analysis YouTube channel, Turkish football pundit Sinan Engin claimed Lukaku is determined to finish ahead of Osimhen in the goalscoring race.
‘Lukaku and Osimhen were in a fight in Napoli. We can watch the sweet rivalry of these two in the derby. Lukaku said, ‘All I do is to surpass Osimhen’,’ Engin said.
The pundit also suggested that Lukaku could have scored more than 20 goals had he avoided injury.
The arrival of Lukaku at Fenerbahce and Osimhen’s continued presence at Galatasaray promises to make their individual battle one of the major storylines of the new Turkish Super Lig season, with their performances likely to have a significant impact on the title race.
