Iheanacho denied chance to score first Leicester City goal since October 2023

Kelechi Iheanacho has been left out of Leicester City squad to play Leeds United in Friday night’s Sky Bet Championship game at Elland Road on Friday night.

The Nigerian has thus been denied the opportunity to score his first goal for Leicester City since October 2023 when he came in for the final six minutes of
the Foxes’ 3-1 defeat of Swansea City at the Swansea.com stadium.

Since he scored the third goal for the Foxes in the Sky Bet Championship game, the Nigerian has failed to score in the seven games he has featured in before
joining the Super Eagles squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The 27 year old started his debut season in the second tier of English football without scoring in his first six games before going on to score five goals in
his next six appearances.

He has started 10 and subbed on nine times in the 19 appearances he has made for the club in the competition.

The former Manchester City player was declared fit to play the game by Enzo Maresca, the Leicester City a few days ago but has decided to leave out the
club’s top scorer last season in the Premier League for the second game post AFCON 2023.
