Iheanacho Extends Incredible Scoring Run To 11 Games At Bursaspor

Kelechi Iheanacho continued his remarkable goalscoring form in Turkey on Monday, scoring for the 11th consecutive game as Bursaspor defeated Orfa Yapı Pendikspor 2-0 in the Trendyol 1. Lig.

The Nigerian striker scored Bursaspor’s second goal in the 62nd minute at the Yüzüncü Yıl Atatürk Stadium, extending his tally to 15 goals in 11 league appearances and maintaining his position at the top of the division’s scoring chart.

Halil Akbunar had given the hosts the lead in the 10th minute before Iheanacho struck after the break to secure the victory for the Green and Whites.

The result lifted Bursaspor to 25 points as they continued their pursuit of the top of the table, while Pendikspor remained on 10 points.

Iheanacho’s latest goal extends a remarkable run of consistency since joining Bursaspor. The former Leicester City and Sevilla forward has found the net in 11 successive matches, underlining his importance to the club’s promotion ambitions.

His scoring form has also strengthened his position in the race for the league’s Golden Boot, with 15 goals already to his name after 11 matches.

Bursaspor will hope Iheanacho can maintain that momentum as the season progresses, with the Nigerian continuing to deliver the goals needed to keep the club firmly in contention near the top of the standings.
