Iheanacho Eyes Scoring Return On 30th Birthday

Kelechi Iheanacho turns 30 on Saturday with the in-form Bursaspor forward hoping to mark his birthday by ending a near three-year goal drought for Nigeria.
The Senior Man is targeting his 16th goal in his 59th appearance for the Super Eagles when Nigeria face Russia in Tuesday’s international friendly.
Iheanacho has not featured for Nigeria since May 2025 and last scored for the country on November 19, 2023, when he found the net in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe in a 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The Bursaspor striker has been in impressive form in Turkey and will be eager to carry that form into his return to the national team.
If he starts against Russia, it will be Iheanacho’s 41st start for Nigeria.
