Iheanacho, Ndidi out to end unwanted record against Manchester City

Leicester City duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi will be out to end an unwanted run of defeats against Manchester City who visit the King Power stadium on

Saturday in a Premier League match week 14 fixture.

Iheanacho has lost nine of the 11 games he has played against his former side since he switched from the Etihad stadium to the King Power stadium in August 2017.

It is the most he has lost against any side in England since he made his debut for the Foxes on 2017.

Iheanacho has however scored twice and bagged two assists in the 11 games he has played against the Cityzens.

He scored his first in the Foxes’ 1-0 Community Shield win in August 2021 and his second later that season in the 6-3 annihilation of Leicester at the Etihad stadium.

Like Iheanacho, Ndidi will also be looking to avoid his ninth defeat in 11 games against the Cityzens, the most he has also suffered against any team in the England.

The 25 year old has featured 10 times against Pep Guardiola’s side and has lost eight times with seven of the defeats coming in eight Premier League appearances.

Ndidi has not scored against the defending Premier League champions but has bagged an assist and that was in the 4-2 (pen) loss at the quarterfinal stage of the League

Cup in December 2018.

Interestingly, both Iheanacho and Ndidi have not drawn any match against the Cityzens. Both have recorded just two wins against the Manchester based side in 11 and 10

appearances respectively.
