Iheanacho out to avoid record ninth EPL defeat against Tottenham

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho will be seeking to help Leicester City record their first victory of the season and

in the process avoid a ninth Premier League defeat in 10 appearances against Tottenham.

Leicester City will be guest of Tottenham on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Iheanacho will be aiming to

score his second goal of the season after netting once in the Foxes’ 5-2 defeat at Brighton early September.

The Nigerian will be banking on his goal record against Tottenham in the Premier League to change his fortune against

Antonio Conte’s side.

The former Manchester City player has scored thrice in nine games in the competition against their host, the second joint

highest he has scored against any Premier League club after Crystal Palace whom he scored four against in 11 appearances.

The 26 year old has scored 38 goals in 173 Premier League games since he made his debut in the competition in August 2015

for Manchester City.

With 94 of his 230 shots on target and with 41% shooting accuracy, Iheanacho will need to work more on his finishing as he

bids to hit double figure of goals lik he did in the 2020/2021 season when he netted 12 times in 25 appearances.

The Super Eagles star will also be hoping to make his second start in six appearances this season for the Foxes in the

competition.
