Iheanacho returns to Leicester, seeks first league goal in four months

Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca says Kelechi Iheanacho is available for selection when the Foxes host Middlesbrough on Saturday at the King Power Stadium.

The Nigerian has just returned from international duties with Nigeria and Maresca revealed the former Manchester City player is available.

Iheanacho will be seeking a goalscoring return for the Foxes after helping Nigeria to a silver medal finish at the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 27 year old has netted five times in 19 Sky Bt Championship games for the Foxes in his first season playing in the second tier of football in England but he netted his last goal some four months ago.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho’s compatriot at the club, Wilfred Ndidi is still expected to be out until early April.

Ndidi’s injury early this year ensured he missed his place in Nigeria’s squad to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
