Iheanacho seeking to extend personal goalscoring record vs Villa to eight in 11 games

After scoring twice and assisting twice in four Premier League games in February, Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho seems to have lost the magic in
front of goal again as he has fired blanks in his next six Premier League games.

The Nigerian, 26, has another chance of regaining that touch under a new caretaker manager following the sack of Brendan Rodgers on Sunday.

Iheanacho played more Premier League games (99) and scored more goals (24) under Rodgers albeit the former Man City man was reduced to almost a bit-part
player, starting more games from the bench in the competition.

The Super Eagle will be looking to kickstart his season for the third time this season with his fourth goal of the campaign and Aston Villa, the team he has scored most against (7) in 10 appearances across all competitions look like the perfect opponent for him to get back to scoring ways.

Aston Villa are also one of the two teams in England the Nigerian has scored more than twice against in a single game.

A goal against the Villans on Tuesday will take Iheanacho’s tally to four this season and draw him level with Taiwo Awoniyi in the Nigerian top scorer race
in the competition this season.

Iheanacho has featured 190 times in the competition since he made his debut in August 2015 and has scored 40 times to make him the fifth top scoring
Nigerian in Premier League history and just three shy of Shola Ameobi in fourth.

The 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup hero has also provided 24 assists so far in his Premier League career, two less than the duo of Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Alex Iwobi who are second in the Nigerian all-time assists list behind Nwankwo Kanu who has provided three more in first position.
