Il Mattino: ‘Osimhen to earn €12m a year, €400k bonus if he nets 20 goals and assists’

Italian publication, Il Mattino says Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen has agreed a €12m a year in wages deal his renewal deal with Serie A champions, Napoli.

The newspaper says ‘Napoli have struck an agreement in principle with Osimhen, but they haven’t announced his renewal yet.’

It also revealed the contract is ’40 pages long, but its formalization could come at any moment’.

‘They’ll hand him €12m wages, which is unprecedented for them. Moreover, he’ll handle most of his image rights, unlike their other players’.

The newspaper also revealed that the release clause will be €150m and it’ll be valid everywhere, including Saudi Arabia and Italy.

Osimhen will also get €400k once he tallies 20 goals and assists combined.

The 24 year old was crowned the top scorer in the Serie A last season and his 26 goals inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.

This season, Osimhen has scored thrice in two Serie A games and he is joint top scorer with AC Milan’s Olivier Giroud and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez.

The Nigerian will be in action this weekend when Napoli host Lazio at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
