Injured Osimhen out of Galatasaray’s Europa League game in Latvia
Galatasaray have announced that Victor Osimhen will miss their trip Thursdya’s trip to Latvia where they will face their host, Rigas Skola at the Daugava Stadium.
The Red and Yellow announced in a statement on Tuesday that Osimhen was injured in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Super Lig side, Kasımpaşa last weekend.
The Nigerian scored a brace in the game but did not come out for the second half of the match where his team collapsed by giving up a 3-1 lead.
‘The treatment of our football player Victor Osimhen, who felt pain in his left upper posterior muscle during the Kasımpaşa match in the seventh week of the Trendyol Super Lig and was found to have strain (strain and bleeding) in the left upper posterior muscle group during the controls performed today, has been started.”
‘Striker Victor Osimhen will not be able to play in the match against Rigas Skola,’ wrote the club.
The club did not state for how long the Nigerian will be out for and if he will be available for this weekend’s Super Lig game at the RAMS Park in İstanbul on Sunday when they host Alanyaspor in a match week eight fixture.
