Inter 5-3 Udinese: Okoye Concedes Five Goals for Second Time in Serie A Career
Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye conceded five goals in a Serie A game for only the second time in his career after Udinese suffered a 5-3 defeat to Inter Milan at the San Siro on Monday night.
Udinese made a stunning start, racing into a 2-0 lead inside the opening 16 minutes but Inter fought back to level before half-time.
The Nerazzurri then scored three more goals after the break to complete a remarkable comeback and leave Okoye with another five-goal haul in the Italian topflight.
The Nigerian goalkeeper had previously conceded five goals in a Serie A match in December 2025, when Udinese were thrashed 5-1 by Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.
Monday’s defeat means Okoye has now conceded five goals in a Serie A match twice in his 80 appearances in the competition.
The 26-year-old has also conceded five goals in a top-flight match in the Netherlands. While playing for Sparta Rotterdam, Okoye conceded five in a 5-3 home defeat to PSV Eindhoven in January 2021.
Okoye has now conceded 10 goals in four Serie A appearances this season, while his overall tally stands at 107 goals conceded in 80 Serie A games.
