It’s Official: Gusau Resigns As NFF President

Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has officially announced his resignation as President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), bringing an end to his tenure at the helm of Nigerian football.

Gusau formally announced his decision on Thursday in Abuja amid the growing leadership crisis that has engulfed the NFF in recent weeks.

Reports also indicate that several members of the federation’s Executive Committee have stepped down, raising fresh questions over the immediate future of Nigerian football administration.

The resignation comes after weeks of mounting pressure on the NFF following a series of disappointing results involving Nigeria’s national teams and growing concerns over the direction of the country’s football.

Gusau’s departure is expected to trigger major developments within the NFF, particularly with the federation’s planned electoral process and the next steps in the administration of Nigerian football now coming into sharp focus.
