Iwobi eager to convert assists to goals in 12th game Vs West Ham
Alex Iwobi scored a brace in Fulham’s 5-0 demolition of Sheffield United last week and the Nigerian attacking midfielder will be looking to score for consecutive games for the first time in the Premier League when he faces West Ham United on Sunday at Craven Cottage.
Iwobi has faced the Hammers 11 times in the Premier League but the 27 year old is yet to score against the East London side. Instead he has provided four assists, the most he has bagged against any side in the competition.
The former Arsenal and Everton player will be aiming to turn assists to goals this time around for what will be his most goals in a Premier League season after his brace equal the three he has scored in a season.
Iwobi won twice and and drew once in the games he has provided assists against West Ham and will keen to at least keep the status quo as Fulham hopes to build on their impressive performance last week.
The Nigerian will also be keen to overtake Nwankwo Kanu as the Nigerian with the most assists in Premier League history.
Kanu bagged 29 assists in 273 Premier League games, two more than Iwobi (27 in 234 games) and three more than Yakubu Aiyegbeni (26 in 252 matches).
