Iwobi looking to equal Victor Moses’ 103 EPL wins, set for 40th game for Fulham

Alex Iwobi will be gunning for his 103rd win in 258 Premier League games when his side, Fulham host Newcastle United on Saturday at Craven Cottage in a Premier League match week five game.

The former Arsenal player became the fifth Nigerian to reach a century of Premier League wins towards the end of last season when he provided his 29th assist in the Cottagers’ 2-0 defeat of West Ham.

Since then, the Nigerian has picked up two more wins in nine Premier League games including the one this season against Wilfred Ndidi’s Leicester City at Craven Cottage last month when he scored the winner in a 2-1 victory.

Another Fulham victory on Saturday will be Iwobi’s 103rd and draws him level in fourth with former Premier League player, Victor Moses who has signed for Sky Bet Championship side, Luton FC.

Chelsea legend, Mikel leads the list with 149 wins in 249 appearances in the competition followed by Nwankwo Kanu who won 113 of his 273 games while Shola Ameobi is third with 105 win in 298 appearances.

Meanwhile, Iwobi will also be making his 40th appearance for Fulham across all competitions if he gets to play against Newcastle, a team he has scored once against in 10 appearances.

Iwobi has featured for three clubs in the Premier League since he made his debut in October 2015. He featured for Arsenal 100 times in the competition and played 23 times more for Everton and will be gunning for his 35th for Fulham.
