Iwobi set for 110th Game For Everton

Primed to start 26th game in 26 Premier League games in 2022

Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi will be gunning for his 110th appearance for Everton if he plays when the Toffees host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Iwobi joined Everton from Arsenal in August 2019 and has become a regular fixture in gaffer, Frank Lampard’s team since the beginning of the year, starting all 26 Premier League games he has featured in, including all 11 so far this season.

He made his Premier League debut for the club in August 2019, coming in as a substitute in the final 28 minutes of regulation time. He scored his first Premier League goal the next game, in the Toffees 3-2 defeat of Wolves at Goodison Park at the start of September 2019.

The Nigerian has featured in 94 Premier League games, five FA Cup and 10 League Cup matches so far for the Toffees.

He has scored five times in the Premier League and provided seven assists. He is yet to score in the FA Cup for the club while in the League Cup he has scored three times and bagged three assists.

Iwobi will be hoping his good record against Crystal Palace whom he has won four times against in seven appearances and scored once against will help Everton return to winning ways after three consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

If he scores, it will be his sixth in 95 Premier League games for Everton and 17th in 195 games since he made his debut in the competition in October 2015.

It will also move him above Odion Ighalo as the 10th top scoring Nigerian in Premier League history.
