Iwobi Set for 390th Career Appearance as Bassey to Play 90th Fulham Game
Alex Iwobi will mark his 390th senior club appearance when Fulham face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in Matchweek 27 of the Premier League.
The Nigerian midfielder, who has represented Arsenal, Everton, and now Fulham, has amassed 149 games for the Gunners, 140 for the Toffees, and 100 for the Cottagers.
Sunday’s clash will also be his 249th Premier League start in 312 appearances and his 21st of the season.
Iwobi is chasing another personal landmark as he looks to score against Sunderland for the first time.
Having already found the net against 17 different clubs in the competition, he is aiming to make the Black Cats the 18th team added to his list.
Despite facing them four times previously, winning three of those encounters, he has yet to register a goal against the newly promoted side.
The midfielder is also closing in on 10,000 completed passes in the Premier League, currently sitting at 9,941 with an 82% success rate, underlining his consistency and influence in midfield.
Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian Calvin Bassey is set to make his 17th start in 19 league appearances this season, bringing his overall appearances to 90 across all competitions. Samuel Chukwueze, however, will miss the fixture due to a CAF injury.
