Iwobi set to make 51st straight Premier League start, targets first goal in six games vs Fulham

Sean Dyche has named Alex Iwobi in his starting line up in Everton’s opening Premier League game of the season against visiting Fulham at Goodison Park.
The Nigerian who started all 38 Premier League games played by the Toffees last seaosn will be starting his 51st Premier League game in a row.
Iwobi has started in all Premier League games for Everton since he featured in the Toffees 1-0 defeat of Newcastle in January 2022.
The 27 year old will also be seeking his first Premier League goal in six appearances against Fulham. His only goal involvement against the visitors came in Arsenal’s 4-1 win at Emirates stadium in January 2019.
Iwobi provided Granit Xhaka the assist to score the Gunners’ opning goal of the game on 25 minutes.
The former Arsenal man will also be seeking to score his first opening game goal after providing the assist for Abdoulaye Doucouré to score the Toffees second goal in the 3-1 defeat of Southampton in the club’s opening Premier League game of the 2021/22 season.
He has scored 17 times in the competition and provided 27 assists.
