Julien Alfred Strong, Healthy, and Hungry for More After 200m Diamond League Win in Rome

Julien Alfred delivered another commanding performance on the Diamond League circuit, winning the women’s 200m in 21.93 seconds at the Rome meeting.
‘It’s always good to win,’ Alfred said afterward.
‘I wanted to go a bit faster, but I’ll take the win. I am healthy and that’s important too. I am a lot stronger now than I used to be, and that’s why I could push a bit extra in the second part of the race. I expected the pressure from Melissa. I am kind of satisfied with this Diamond League win, but still I wished to run faster.’
The St. Lucian sprinter, already one of the season’s standout athletes, showed her growing strength and composure under pressure.
Her ability to accelerate in the latter stages of the race proved decisive, securing her first Diamond League triumph of the season as she builds momentum toward the summer Ultimate Championships in Budapest.
