‘KAN U Believe It?’: Arsenal Legend Kanu Celebrates First Title in 22 Years

Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu has joined the celebrations after the Gunners clinched their first Premier League crown in 22 years, describing the achievement as ‘very well deserved.’

Mikel Arteta’s side were confirmed as champions following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, sealing a remarkable campaign that saw Arsenal return to the summit of English football.

Kanu, who won two league titles and two FA Cups under Arsène Wenger, expressed his delight on social media.

‘KAN U believe it??? Arsenal Forever,’ he wrote.

‘The Gunners worked so hard for this. Difficult but they fought. Very well deserved. Come on you gunners.’

The former Nigerian captain remains one of Arsenal’s most cherished figures, remembered for his creativity, flair, and unforgettable goals.

Twice named African Player of the Year, Kanu played a pivotal role in the club’s success during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

During his Arsenal career, Kanu featured 197 times and scored 44 goals, with 30 of those coming in 119 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.

Across his entire Premier League career, which also included spells at Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion, he netted 54 goals in 272 appearances.
