Klopp: 2-1 Loss To Man United Not The Result We Wanted

Ince says Liverpool were disappointing

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says trhe 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford in a Premier League fixture is not the result they wanted.

“United were really aggressive in the beginning, which was clear but reality shows if you’re really ready but they were more ready than us and they scored.

We controlled the game and passed the ball around the box but we conceded a second goal. It’s definitely not the result we wanted,’ said Klopp whose Liverpool side are still looking for their first win of the campaign.

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson says it has been a poor start to the season for the Reds.
“It’s been a really poor start to the season – we’re giving every team a goal start, and you can’t keep going behind.

We have to be a team that starts the game well and puts the pressure on the other team, not the other way around.

They wanted something to lift the crowd and the team and we gave it to them.

Two points from nine is not the start that we wanted and we need to pick the performances up individually and collectively. We need to kick-start our season.”

Premier League pundit Paul Ince says Klopp’s men were disappointing at Old Trafford

“Liverpool were disappointing. There was no intensity, no rhythm.

They looked a different team when Fabinho came on. From minute one, they didn’t look comfortable with how they were set up – the team wasn’t balanced right.”
