KRC Genk Hail Rafiu Durosinmi as ‘A Typical No. 9 You Can Play The Ball Into’

KRC Genk Head of Football Dimitri de Condé has praised the club’s latest signing Rafiu Durosinmi after the Nigerian striker completed a move from Italian side Pisa SC.
The 23-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Belgian club that will keep him at the Cegeka Arena until June 2030, with Genk confident that his strength, physical presence and finishing ability will add greater firepower to their attack.
‘Rafiu is a striker with qualities that fit well with the way KRC Genk wants to play,’ de Condé said. ‘He is good in the box and also strong on the ball in combination play. A typical No. 9 you can play the ball into.’
Durosinmi previously impressed during his time with Czech club Viktoria Plzeň, scoring 35 goals and providing 10 assists in 86 appearances. He has 54 goals and 17 assists in 150 professional matches overall.
