Leicester City boss: Ndidi is touch and go for QPR Championship clash on Saturday

Wilfred Ndidi could potentially return to the Leicester City squad as early as Saturday’s trip to QPR albeit Enzo Maresca says the Nigerian’s availability is not cast in stone.

The Super Eagle missed out on Tuesday night in the Foxes’ hard-fought 1-0 win over Sunderland which sent them eight points clear at the top.

Maresca says Ndidi’s availabaility is touch and go. Leicester City plan to give him a rest for a few days to see if he can overcome what the gaffer has described as a ‘little bit more than tiredness’.

‘With Wilf (Ndidi), it’s tiredness, something a little bit more than tiredness, so he needs some days, and we don’t want to take risks for him. He could play (on Saturday), we’ll see,’ said Maresca.

Ndidi has been phenomenal for the Foxes in the second tier of English football, the Championship this season following the club’s relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.

The 26 year old has scored three times, his most for a season and bagged four assists, also his most for a season in 15 games across all competitions for the Foxes this term.
