Nigerian international winger Samuel Chukwueze has been handed his second ever start in eight UEFA Champions League as his Spanish LaLiga side, Villarreal play Premier League side, Liverpool at Anfield Wednesday evening.
The 22 year old was the hero for the Yellow Submarine in their incredible display against Bayern Munich at the Allianz arena in Munich, Germany after coming in for the final six minutes of the game in regulation to score the goal that fired Unai Emery’s side to the semis.
The Super Eagle may have been rewarded for that with a rare start, coming over two months after he was handed his first start against another Euro giant, Juventus in Spain. The game ended 1-1 which means the Nigerian has not lost the only game he has started in the competition for Villarreal.
He will be looking to score his third goal in the competition and 24th for the club in 151 games across all competitions.
