Manchester Derby Headlines SuperSport’s Weekend Premier League Action

The first Manchester derby of the season takes centre stage on Sunday as Manchester United host Manchester City at Old Trafford in the biggest Premier League fixture of the weekend.
Kick-off is 4:30pm, with both Manchester giants seeking an early statement victory as the battle for Premier League supremacy gathers momentum.

United will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Everton, although they head into the derby on the back of an impressive 4-0 Champions League victory over Sabah.
City, meanwhile, warmed up for the derby with a 1-0 win over Coventry before claiming a 2-0 Champions League victory against Porto.

Liverpool begin the weekend’s action at home to Fulham on Saturday at 3:00pm, with the champions looking to maintain their strong start after a 2-0 victory over Ipswich and a 2-1 Champions League triumph over Atlético Madrid.

Fulham will be hoping to cause an upset after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace in their last league outing.
Chelsea will also be in action at 3:00pm when they welcome newly promoted Hull City. The match will also be available on SS Football Plus HD (DStv Ch. 202).

Chelsea go into the fixture seeking a response after their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, despite beating Leeds in a nine-goal Carabao Cup thriller in midweek. Hull, meanwhile, held Aston Villa to a goalless draw after beginning their campaign with a surprise victory over Manchester United.

Tottenham face Everton at 5:30pm, with Spurs desperate to end a difficult start to their league campaign. Tottenham are yet to score in the Premier League after two defeats and a draw.

Arsenal travel to Sunderland for an 8:00pm kick-off, with the defending champions arriving in confident mood following their 2-1 win over Chelsea and a 1-0 Champions League victory away to Napoli. Sunderland were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford last weekend.

Sunday’s action starts at 2:00pm when Coventry host Brighton before the spotlight switches to Old Trafford for the Manchester derby.
The weekend concludes on Monday at 8:00pm when Leeds United host Newcastle United. Leeds drew 1-1 with Brighton last weekend, while Newcastle were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth.
