Messi Reaches 100 MLS Goal Contributions in Record Time

Lionel Messi has reached another historic milestone in Major League Soccer, becoming the fastest player in league history to record 100 goal contributions.

The Inter Miami superstar achieved the feat in Saturday’s 4-2 victory over Toronto FC, scoring once and providing two assists.

Messi reached the landmark in just 64 MLS appearances, smashing the previous record of 95 matches set by former Toronto star Sebastian Giovinco.

Since arriving in MLS in July 2023, Messi has registered 59 goals and 41 assists, guiding Miami to the MLS Cup, Leagues Cup, and Supporters’ Shield, while also winning back-to-back MLS MVP awards in 2024 and 2025.

Earlier this year, the Argentine icon scored his 900th career goal and became the fastest player in MLS history to record 20 goals and 20 assists, achieving the landmark in only 26 games. His latest achievement further cements his dominance in American soccer and adds another chapter to his legendary career.
