Moses Simon named Nantes player of the month of August

Moses Simon has been voted FC Nantes player of the month of August. The Nigerian received 43% of the votes to emerge the winner.

His performances against AJ Auxerre and Montpellier were truly impressive and ahve earn him the award and recognized ahead of other talented players like Alban Lafont, Matthis Abline, and Nathan Zézé.

Simon scored the first goal in the 2-0 defeat of visiting AJ Auxerre at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

He was also on target in the 3-1 win at Akor Adams’ Montpellier HSC at the Stade de la Mosson.

The Super Eagles star, who is expected to be in action for Nigeria in their opening 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Cheetahs of Republic of Benin on Saturday has featured in all three games Nantes have played in the Ligue 1 so far this new season.

The Nigerian will surely be thrilled to receive his trophy before the FC Nantes vs. Stade de Reims match on September 15th.
