Napoli President, De Laurentiis: Osimhen can be sold, but..

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says it will take a big-money bid for him to even consider selling Victor Osimhen.

The 24 year old has been in excellent run of form since the beginning of the 2022/23 season and scored his 20th goal in 24 appearances across all competitions in Napoli’s 2-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

De Laurentiis is confident that the former Lille ace will stay at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

“I am very good at making contracts, so when they come to me, they are blocked, so keeping them here won’t be difficult,” De Laurentiis told TNT Sports. “However, never say never.

“Sometimes there are offers you can’t refuse, so you never know. To me, we’ll see them shine for a long time.”

Osimhen has also refused to rule out leaving Napoli at the end of the season and believes the Serie A side holds the key to his immediate future.

The Nigerian joined Napoli from Ligue 1 side, LOSC Lille in September 2020 and has scored 48 times and bagged 13 assists in 86 games across all competitions.
