Napoli raise Osimhen asking price to €180m

According to French news outlet, Le Parisien, Italian champions, Napoli have set their asking price for Victor Osimhen at €180m.

Napoli President, Aurelio de Laurentiis revealed on Monday that the 24 year old will sign a two-year deal but Sportsnow understands details of the deal have
not been sorted out.

De Laurentiis also opened an exit door for the Nigerian, stating the man who inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years could go for the right
price.

The right price, according Le Parisien is €180m for the player Transfermarkt says he is worth €120m to become the fourth joint most valuable player in the
world with the England duo of Jude Belligham and Bukayo Saka.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Italy’s number sports newspaper says Napoli will soon hold contract talks with Osimhen’s agent and will try to sort out
the Nigerian’s future at the club.

The meeting, according to the newspaper, will iron out the details and the possibility of a new deal will take place in the next few days.

De Laurentiis, the newspaper reported, ‘will have to propose his a new wage to extend the contract and the player’s agent will take time to give answers.’

Osimhen scored 31 goals in the 2022/23 season across all competitions to become the top scoring African in Europe while his 26 goals in the Serie A are the
most scored in the league by any player and the most scored in a single season by an African player.

The Nigerian also emerged the top scoring African ever in the history of the Serie A.

He has attracted interest from big clubs on the continent – namely Bayern Munich, Chelsea , Manchester United and PSG.
