Ndidi In Line To Make 210th Appearance For Leicester City

Super Eagles midfield star Wilfred Ndidi will be making his 210th appearance for Leicester City when the Foxes host Joe Aribo’s Southampton at the King Power stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Ndidi joined Leicester City in January 2017 from Belgian side, Gent and the Nigerian has become one of the regular starters at the club.

Out of the 209 games he has featured in for the Foxes across all competitions since he moved to England, 167 have come in the Premier League where he was voted the best tackler twice ( 2017/18 season with 138 tackles and 2018/19 season with 143 tackles) and a close second once, losing by just one tackle (129-128) to Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the 2019/20 season.

The 25 year old has scored 11 times from his defensive midfield position and bagged 14 assists across all competitions in 209 appearances.

Seven of the 11 goals and nine of the 14 assists came in the Premier League.

Ndidi will also be playing his 12th game across all competitions against Southampton if he features at the King Power stadium on Saturday.

Nine out of the 11 he has featured in so far came in the Premier League where he has also scored his only goal against the Saints.

If he plays, it will also make Southampton the third joint club the Nigerian has featured most against after Chelsea and Liverpool.
