Ndidi starts in 200th game for Leicester City
Makes 185th start for the Foxes
Super Eagles midfielder has been listed to start his 185th game in his 200th appearance for Leicester City Thursday night at the King Power stadium where the Foxes host Danish side, FC Randers in an Europa Conference League tie.
The Foxes drop into this competition after finishing in third place in their Europa League group, while Randers have broken new ground on the continent by reaching the knockout rounds in Europe for the first time.
Ndidi and compatriot Ademola Lookman have been given the nod to start by gaffer Brendan Rodgers and it will be the former’s 23rd start in 24 games so far this season.
The 25 year old Ndidi has scored 10 times and bagged 11 goals since he made his debut for the Foxes in a 2-1 FA Cup win against Everton at Goodison Park on January 7, 2017.
He has started 11 of 15 FA Cup games he has so far featured in, 156 in 161 Premier League appearances and eight in nine Europa League games.
He has also started in all four Champions League games and nine in 10 EFL Cup games he has featured in for Leicester City.
He was listed the starting line up in the Foxes only Community Shield game, a 1-0 defeat of Manchester City last August.
Ndidi will be hoping to cap his 200th game for the Foxes with a goal.
Meanwhile Ndidi says his relationship with Kelechi Iheanacho as more than that of a teammate at the King Power stadium.
“The relationship between me and Kel is very great. It’s amazing because people just thought we were team-mates, playing for Leicester and playing for the national team.
“But I’ve known Kelechi since we were in the academy, very young, so it’s not just new. We’ve been very close since we were in [Nigeria] Under-17s together. It’s been amazing having him around. I’m enjoying every moment.
