NIS DG/CEO, Shaibu hails Aduku’s appointment to Nigeria U20 Women’s Team

The Director General and CEO of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), H.E. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has praised the appointment of Edo Queens’ head coach, Moses Aduku, as a well-deserved recognition of his expertise in women’s football.
Shaibu expressed strong confidence in Aduku’s ability to bring his tactical prowess to the national stage as the newly appointed Head Coach of the Falconets (Nigeria’s U20 girls’ team).
Aduku’s deep knowledge and success in women’s football have transformed Edo Queens into formidable contenders in the Nigeria Women Football League.
His track record—coaching Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens, as well as contributing to the Falconets’ quarter-final run at the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup—highlights his readiness for the national assignment.
During his tenure as Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Shaibu played a pivotal role in bringing Aduku to Edo Queens, a post he still holds today.
The recent appointment by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which also named Manu Garba as head coach of the U17 boys’ team, marks a strategic move as Nigeria gears up for major international competitions.
