Nothingham Forest 1-1 Burnley: Awoniyi named official man of the match

Taiwo Awoniyi was named the official man of the match in Monday night’s Premier League game between his club, Nothingham Forest and Burnley at the City
Ground.

The Nigerian who provided the key pass for Callum Hudson-Odoi to draw the host level on 61 minutes after Zeki Amdouni had given the visitors the lead in the
41st minute.

Awoniyi was adjudged man of the match by the Premier League after providing two key passes and the assist for the equaliser.

The former Union Berlin of Germany loanee has now been named man of the match four times since he made his Premier League debut last season.

He was named man of the match in Forest’s 1-0 win at Southampton in January and twice in May when he scored in the 1-0 defeat of Arsenal at the City Ground
and the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

The 26 year old has made four starts in five appearances in the Premier League so far this season and has scored three times and provided two assists.

He has either scored or provided an assists in his last nine matches from last season. He has scored nine times and provided two assists in these games.

The Nigerian will be seeking to make it 10 games with scoring either a goal or an assist when he visits the Etihad on Saturday with his team as guests on
Premier League champion, Manchester City.
