Nottingham Forest join race for Iheanacho
Football Insider is reporting that Nottingham Forest have joined the race for just-departed Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Nigerian is a free agent after his contract was not renewed by the Foxes whom he joined in August 2017 from Manchester City.
UEFA Champions League campaigner, Aston Villa first indicated interest in the Nigerian who was reduced to a bit part player last season at the King Power stadium.
Unai Emery’s side was followed by Newcastle United and Wolves.
Now, it is Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina’s club that has joined the race for the Nigerian who scored 42 goals in 196 appearances in the Premier League.
He netted 61 times in 232 appearances for Leicester City and 21 goals in 64 games for Manchester City across all competitions.
Last season he scored six goals in 26 appearances for the Foxes with five of the goals coming in 23 Sky Bet Championships.
