NPFL: Rangers make it fourth straight 1-0 win to record 10th home victory, move third on the log

Enugu Rangers defeated Remo Stars 1-0 Wednesday evening at the NNamdi Azikiwe stadium in Enugu to record their 10th home win in 11 matches and move to third
on the log.

The goal was on 56 minutes by Kenechukwu Augustine Agu as the Flying Antelopes recorded their fourth straight 1-0 win in the Nigeria Professional Premier
League since they lost 1-0 to Akwa United at the Eket Sports Stadium in Eket, Akwa Ibom state last month.

Rangers have now garnered 37 points from 22 games to move third behind Lobi Stars who still stay top despite losing 2-0 at Sunshine Stars and Plateau United
who went to the Awka City stadium in Awka, Anambra state to maul their ‘host’, Heartland of Owerri 5-1.

Bayelsa United move six points clear of relegation zone following their 2-0 defeat of Doma United at the Samson Siasia stadium in Yenagoa.

It was their third straight win in the competition and now sit 14th on the log with 27 points from 22 matches while Godwin Enakhena’s Sporting Lagos also eased their relegation fears with a 2-1 defeat of Akwa United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos,

While Sporting Lagos moved up to 13th on the log with 27 points, Akwa United are now 18th with just 21 points in 22 games.
