NPFL: Shooting Stars earn first away point in five games

Kano Pillars end Lobi Stars' 100% home record

 

Shooting Stars earned their first away point in five matches when they forced their host, Sporting Lagos to a 2-2 draw at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.

Prior to the game, the Oluyole Warriors had lost all four away games they have played since they drew 1-1 at Kwara United last November.

They lost the subsequent four games until Gideon Monday’s 51st minute strike restored parity for the second ime in the game to earn a deserved point.

It was Monday’s third goal of the campaign and Shooting Stars have moved a step above Sunshine Stars into 11th on the log with a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Lobi Stars failed to maintain their 100% record at their adopted Lafia Township Stadium home in Lafia, Nasarawa state after they were forced to a 1-1 draw by resurgent Kano Pillars.

The host scored as early as the fifth minute of the game through Stanley Chukwudi Oganbor but Pillars’ Suleiman Idris on 43 minutes to help the visitors extend their unbeaten run to three games.
