Ofili to open 2024 indoor campaign as Praise Djoma set to make LSU debut

Favour Ofili will open her 2024 indoor campaign at the Razorback Invitational which will hold at Arkansas’s Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The Nigeria 200m indoor and outdoor record holder will compete in the 200m event and has been listed to run in the first of two finals.

The 21 year old holds the meet record at 22.53 and stadium record at 22.36.

All eyes will be on the pretty sprinter who is re-starting her career as a professional after forgoing her final year of eligibility as a student athlete at
Louisiana State University.

Meanwhile, reigning Nigeria and Africa U 18 triple jump champion, Praise Djoma will make her debut for Louisiana State University, LSU, at the Razorback
Invitational.

The Nigerian recently joined LSU as a student/athlete and will be looking to make as much impact as Ofili made at the school.

In the long and triple jumps, Djoma will be keen t follow in the good footsteps of Blessing Okagbare who won the NCAA indoor title in 2010 and Ruth Usoro who
won the NCAA triple jump indoor title in 2021.

Also listed to compete this weekend in Arkansas is quartermiler, Onojuvwevwo Ella who will be running in the 400m after setting a new
23.91 lifetime best over the 200m at the Corky Classic held at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas last weekend.
