Oghenebrume becomes 12th Nigerian to run sub-6.60 in 60m

19 year old scorches to new lifetime best, Ofili also wins

Godson Oghenebrume seems to be finally fulfilling his potential after scorching to a new personal best in the 60m event for the third straight week.     The 19 year old ran 6.58 to win the 60m event at LSU’s Twilight meet held Friday at the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.                  The time made him the 12th Nigerian to break 6.60 in the event. He is now tied for 10th in the USA and improves his third-place time in the LSU record books.
Oghenebrume began the day by running 6.70 to win the prelims. Also at the meet, Favour Ofili ran 7.18 to win the 60m race.
