Onojuvwevwo runs 52.47 to close in on Okafor in the Nigerian 400m indoor all-time list

Ella Onojuvwevwo ran a lifetime best of 52.47 in the 400m at the SEC Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Friday to close in on Rosemary Okafor
in the Nigerian 400m all-time list.

This is the second time this year the 18 year old will run faster and set new personal best in the event after running 52.53 last month at the Razorback
Invitational held at the Randal Tyson Indoor Center also in Fayetteville, Arkansas to move into ninth nd above Fatimah Yusuf in the Nigerian list o all-time
top performers.

Okafor, an African U20 silver medalist way back in 1997 holds a lifetime best on 52.41 to sit eighth in the Nigerian all-time list in which only Chariry
Opara ran inside 51 seconds (50.73) to top the ranking.

Meanwhile, Oghenefejiro Praise also improved her personal best in the triple jump to 12.37m to place sixth in the final of the event.

Competing indoors this year for the first time in her career, Oghenefejiro has improved with each jump she made.

She began her indoor career in the event with an 11.82m personal best last month and improved to 12.17m early this month before adding a massive 20cm at the SEC Indoor Championships at the weekend.
