Onuachu Scores, Suffers Injury in Trabzonspor’s Conference League Clash

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored early but was forced off with an injury as Trabzonspor faced Finnish side KuPS in their UEFA Conference League opener on Thursday.

Onuachu put Trabzonspor ahead in the third minute at Tammelan Stadium, finishing after receiving a pass from Mohamed Salah.

However, the Nigerian striker’s night took a worrying turn shortly after his celebration. He went to ground in the sixth minute and was unable to continue.

Onuachu was substituted in the 10th minute, with new signing Franculino Dju coming on to replace him.

The nature and severity of the injury were not immediately disclosed, leaving uncertainty over the striker’s availability for Trabzonspor’s upcoming fixtures.
