Onuachu targets second goal in three games against Man United

Paul Onuachu will be hoping he gets to play a part when Southampton face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday and get the chance to score his second goal in three games against the Red Devils.

The former Genk of England forward has featured four times in the Premier League since his deadline switch from Belgium at the end of January and was an unused substitute last weekend when Southampton defeated Leicester City 1-0 at the Saint Mary’s stadium.

Onuachu scored the winner when Danish side, FC Midtjylland defeated Manchester United 2-1 in the first leg of the intermediate stage of the Europa League at the MCH Arena in Herning, Denmark in February 2016.

The visitors had gone ahead through Memphis Depay on 37 minutes but FC Midtjylland levelled scores through Pione Sisto on 44 minutes to end the first half 1-1. The Nigerian provided the assist.

Onuachu, who scored 74 goals in 181 games for the Danish side before moving to RKC Genk in Belgium netted the winner on 77 minutes for that famous 2-1 win.

The 28 year will be hoping to draw inspiration from that to score his first goal in the Premier League on fifth attempt.
