Orban Joins Salah On Eight Goals In Turkish Süper Lig Scoring Race

Gift Orban has joined Mohamed Salah at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig scoring chart after taking his tally to eight goals in Amed Sportif’s 2-1 victory over Samsunspor on Saturday.
The Nigerian forward scored in the 73rd minute to equalise for Amed before providing the assist for the winning goal in the 83rd minute, completing a comeback after Samsunspor had taken the lead through Dia Saba in the 21st minute.
Orban’s goal took his league tally from seven to eight, drawing him level with Trabzonspor’s Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
Salah and Orban now share the lead with eight goals each, while Başakşehir’s Eldor Shomurodov occupies third place with seven.
Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen and Beşiktaş’s Dušan Vlahović have six goals apiece as the battle for the Süper Lig scoring crown continues.
Orban’s contribution proved decisive for Amed, who recovered from conceding in the first half to secure all three points away from home.
