Osimhen: ‘I can’t wait to see the fans in the stadium, I will do my best for them’

Victor Osimhen has arrived in Istanbul, Turkey to begin his one year loan deal at Super Lig champions, Galatasaray.
The 25-year-old will undergo a medical on Tuesday to officially become a Galatasaray player.

Osimhen was ecstatic about his move away from Napoli albeit temporarily and told the fans he has come to deliver the goals.

Stating that he feels good about coming to Turkey, Oshimen said, ‘The atmosphere is great. The best fans in the world are here. It’s good to be here. I’m so excited.
I can’t wait to see the fans in the stadium. I will do my best for them.’

Reminded that he will play alongside Dries Mertens, the Nigerian said: ‘Mertens is a great guy. He helped me a lot. I spoke to him before he came.
I can’t wait to play with him. I’m looking forward to playing with the rest of my teammates.’

Osimhen scored 17 goals in 32 appearances for Italian side Napoli last season and inspired the Partenopei to their first Scudetto in 33 years after the 2022/23 season.
