Osimhen makes history despite Napoli UEFA Champions League exit.

Victor Osimhen became the first Napoli player to score in the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League when he nodded home Giacomo Raspadori cross in the 93rd minute, but it was too late to turn the tie around.

The visitors scored in the first half through Olivier Giroud who finished off a sensational Rafael Leao run.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea striker had earlier missed a penalty.

Osimhen netted the equaliser but it turned out to be a consolation for the home side who crashed out 2-1 on aggregate after losing the first leg 1-0 at the San Siro
without the Nigerian.

With his goal, his 26th in 31 games across all competitions, Osimhen has become the first Napoli player to score in the quarterfinal of the Champions League.

The Nigerian, 24, scored three of the five goals netted by his club in the round of 16 as they sneaked into their first ever spot in the last eight of the
competition.

Osimhen and Napoli will now shift their focus to the Serie A where they are on the verge of winning their first Scudetto in 33 years.

The Nigerian is the top scorer in the competition so far with his 21 goals in 24 games.
